Reflecting on 2024 & looking ahead to 2025
Questions for discussion:
* How would you describe your style at this point in your life?
* Has anything changed or evolved over the past year? If so, what?
* What’s a favorite memory from the past year that you had while at home?
* What do you love about your home?
* What’s bothering you about your home?
* What are your ideas for changing things up to make it less bothersome?
* What (if anything) are you unsure of in terms of what you want to change?
* What activities do you hope to do more of in your home in 2025? Any new rituals, habits or traditions you’d like to pursue?
* Questions related to the 3 Principles of Slow Style:
Life Informs Style: Your lifestyle, the stage of life you’re in, your time, budget and priorities all need to be taken into account when developing the aesthetic pieces. And your personal story/stories should be evident in your home and used as inspiration for your design/decor decisions. Are your life and style aligned?
Style Evolves: To develop your signature style, you’ll need to get hands-on and actually try things out. Move furniture around, change how you’re using a room, try a new paint color or wallpaper, swap out some generic pieces for ones that are more meaningful, switch up how or what you display, etc. Have you tried anything new in the past year?
Your Style Reflects Your Values: What we prioritize and choose to fill our home with (including what we stuff in the closets) can be seen throughout our homes, whether that’s our intention or not. What do you value and how does it show up in your actions in life and in your home?
